Open call for: APQHome - MAAT
APQhome – MAAT -– it opened on May 16th of 2017in MAAT - Museum of Arte, Arquitecture and Tecnology in Lisbon.

We are looking for: Artists, curators, critics, art historians, architects, filmmakers, performers, theater practitioners, choreographers, writers, musicians, textile designers, food artists, interdisciplinary collectives. Other related areas. Starting on March 8th, registration for the APQHome - MAAT is open until June 8th, 2017.

The art installation APQHome - MAAT is a project consisting in a domestic space – a house and its objects – and a garden, inside the MAAT – Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology exhibition space. The participants will have the opportunity to spend two nights at the museum, occupying this domestic space in a program taking place between May 17th and July 30th, 2017.

APQHome - MAAT is a total work of art that requires the participant’s intervention in an immersion that, in a 48 hour period, aim to perform the everyday life, in a total art/life fusion experience. APQHome is an ongoing project by Ana Pérez-Quiroga started in 2012 and that is embodied in the website http://www.anaperezquirogahome.com - An Archive of Daily Life #8 – The accumulative schemes of objects and their determinants.
The artist will be present at the participants arrival for this everyday life performance.
There is also the possibility of having a meal with the artist, inside the art installation, in a scheduled performance.
A participation certificate will be issued after completion of the residency.

The applications can be either for two artists or for a single artist and an accompanying person At the end of the stay.
The participants will write a small essay on their APQHome-MAAT experience or on a subject that approaches it.

Other information: This is 2 nights stay, from Wednesday till Friday or from Friday till Sunday.

During the stay, the participant will have to count on the visits of the general public, as well as guided tours and of the museum’s Educational Service, between 12am and 8pm. Opportunity to enroll for a group lunch, price per participant 30€ (up to 10 participants).

Accommodation Facilities: Participants will sleep inside the museum, in an art installation/house with a garden, including the following amenities: a double bed, a wardrobe, a counter cabinet, one large and two small sofas, a table and seats, chairs, a gambling table, two side tables, shelves, illumination, other objects, a bathroom (WC and shower), a kitchenette equipped with: plates glasses cutlery, toaster, coffee machine, kettle, microwaves oven and a mini-fridge. Also included: Bed linen, bath and hand towels, hygiene products.
